Posted in: Harris focuses on her personal story, not Biden questions, as she speaks to Black and Asian voters See in context

6 months ago comments and calls for Biden to step down would not have been tolerated on the mass media.

The only detractors against Biden going now are the WH press briefing talking heads.

Even George Clooney has spoken out against Biden remaining.

Kamala Harris will be moving up sooner rather than later as there is a movement to oust Joe Biden.

There is now a congressional investigation on whether or not the truth regarding Biden’s cognition has been hidden.

White House staff have been subpoenaed as to their influence on Joe Biden.

Anyone interested in seeing who is pulling the strings should listen to the depositions of Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams in a soon to be held hearing.

@wallace

The sea isn’t that warm.

She was extremely tenacious to last 36 hours clinging to a float.

Not at all. Their biggest customers are pension funds.

And how might that help the working Japanese paying ever higher taxes and food and utility bills?

Posted in: Stock market today: Asian shares are mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 hits a new high, with eyes on Fed See in context

The stock market is on a roll and institutional investors are making money for the small minority.

However,

The U.S. dollar rose to 161.45 Japanese yen from 161.34 yen. The euro climbed to $1.0821 from $1.0813.

And it continues to rise making the ordinary Japanese person’s life miserable.

Never mind though, there’ll soon be an announcement that the Japanese government has pledged some large amount of money to Ukraine (again)

Constrained by decades of pacifism, Tokyo has been reluctant to supply lethal aid to Ukraine.

Look!

Japan has never had such a golden age and the people have lived in peace for well over 80 years.

Japan has no business in Europe supporting military action.

Better to remain neutral. You

Israel has been condemned multiple times over.

It is an evil pariah state!

So, if I pay large amounts of money, as a citizen of Japan to politicians then I get to influence them over and above a citizen that doesn’t pay?

And it is all legal?

When is it illegal?

Never?

What is the law for, to be ignored?

Is this what a democracy in Japan looks like?

What a grave insult this is to the Japanese people!

Soon, if not now, it is possible to wage a war whilst sitting in a darkened room in anyplace.

Destruction doesn’t depend on soldiers diggin in, on a hillside.

It depends on ‘tech’, low or high wins wars these days.

Crime seems to be on the rise in my neighborhood.

The local cops were making public announcements, warning people to keep their doors locked.

I wonder if the economic malaise in Japan is causing a rise in crime as it has done in the US and Europe?

“reeling in shock”

Such a dramatic comment for a party which has dictatorial control of government.

However, the myriad scandals and self serving actions of the politicos won’t be their downfall as the public doesn’t and hasn’t been allowed to censure the all powerful LDP to any extent.

Cracks are appearing in Japanese society which will soon rock the LDP much more than highly priced steak dinners.

Cheap airfares in Europe mean almost anyone can afford to fly and become a tourist.

If central governments do not wish to curtail the chaos then local governments can easily impose tourist taxes on meals, rooms and transportation.

They were friendly although busy, everyone was working extremely well.

Sure prices are up but there are still millions of Japanese workers out there.

When I read Kyodo articles about the reason for Japan’s economic woes they never ever critique the feckless LDP in charge of this moribund economy.
