As usual the truth is the reverse:
But why is this so? Why hide the fact China now lies with the stray dogs alliance? Excercise in Belarus, pay for Russian oil in rmb, supply mercenaries to fight for Russia, equipments.....why deny it?
Same for Hungary, who just had to send aid to Ukraine not via the PM Orban but the opposition leader Peter Magyar. Why hide it.

Putin got them by the balls? or afraid of being alienated because of lying down with stray dogs? Like this:

Meanwhile the very next article in this section today is about China staging military exercises in Russia's de facto Belarussian colony right along the Polish border.
This is what I don't get. China is supposed to be assertive, shouting from the roof top of their pride in friends and alliances, but every time China speaks, it's veiled decption sneeking around dark recesses.

rhetoric' and 'lies', says Chinese official
The only thing I can't figure out is whether this statement is representative of ethnic Han Chinese or the CCP alone, because it says clearly 'we are so ashamed of our own actions, we have to deny it, and lie'.
Great rejuvenation carried out by sneeking in corners and veil of deception. History is not going to be a friend to Chinese people.

A bit of a crackpot narrative in this piece. Ursula, that u?
Nothing wrong with Indonesia wanting to enhance people's standard of living.
Nothing wrong with open cut mining, this is low hanging fruit and is least dusruptive to the environment, and certainly much better than going deeper, more intense, least efficient mining (to get at poor yield ore). Just ask China and what it does to get to resources around the world.
I get it, Indo palm oil is a threat to EU olive oil, but no need to lie thru your teeth, cut off your nose to do so.

Bingo!
They should be no where near residential areas, they should be as close as possible to power source (eg nuke power station), and near the sea and forced to use desalanation for cooking needs. Common sense....
Officials who approved this need their heads read, or gift register scrutinised. Too fishy...

Several diplomats said negotiations had settled on wording of a statement that will voice support for Ukraine's "irreversible path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership."
There's no impediment any more, go for it. Keeping Ukraine out of NATO was to avoid war, but war is underway, so rationale gone.

Something fishy about approval processes here. Wouldn't, couldn't happen in Osaka or Kyoto, for obvious reasons, some noted by residents.
Daff idea too, data centres should be (as a minimum) located on independent energy and communication network for redundancy and security. Else hacked network will take out essential services as well.

No, the UN voted to recognise the CCP (Beijing), but it wss silence on Taipei. USA was victorious when Japan surrendered, for all intent and purposes, USA could declare Taiwan as prize of conquest any time, like Russia has declared nortgern island as its prize (with suppirt of China).

Im a pacifist who wouldn’t join up anyway.
Your adversaries don't care whether you're a pacifist or not, that this why YOU will always rely on others to defend you. In this case, they have given their life for you, so at least be grateful there are those who risk their lives every day to keep invaders at a distance.

Boeing's CEO Calhoun’s total compensation in 2023 was $32.8 million. This that companies answer to all those poor relatives who lost loved ones in those crashes.
Muilenburg was CEO overseeing MAX crashes NOT Calhuon. Spirit Aero (responsible for Alaska door plug) was spun off from Boeing in 2005, long, long before Calhuon arrived on the scene. In fact Calhuon is trying to bring back Spirit into Boeing ownership.

Calhuon, on the other hand takes the rap, even though he's being 100% focussed on safety, and get fired for it????

What is clear is that voters rejected the far right.
This ^ is what my friends and colleagues in France are saying, even before tge result came out. It's all a reaction to Le Pen's rhetoric. French people have always lean to the left, and enshrined workers rights. I can't imagine Le Pen ever being president.
Macron, unfortunately picked a lot of fights with voters in recent times. Sure, he's not eligible to run again, but that doesn't mean he xan burn bridges on his way out.
I see democracy functioning in France, ie no clear winner. C'est la vie.
