Murdered for ¥50,000 ($300). Sickening. If this killer is not caught, he will almost certainly rob and kill again.

You sound "keen to engage the enemy "
Nope - but very keen to deter the enemy - as are the 20 freedom-loving democracies participating in Operation Pitch Black including Japan, Italy, Spain, Germany, Australia, The Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, The UK, NZ, The US and many more.
As a wise man once wrote : "If you wish for peace, be Ready for War."

Excellent news.
Now that the disgraced, pro-Communist China Duterte is just a stain in history, the Philippines can engage in vital combat practice exercises with their fellow democracies. Added to the military alliance pact signed with Japan this week, this is good for the region.

Great outcome, this young woman is very lucky! Hats off to the Japan Coast Guard.

Hats off to Southgate, he showed his experience, nous and championship qualities by putting Watkins on who scored the winner. Captain Kane was colossal as always. The Three Lions deservedly go through to the decider - they have been ticking along nicely all tournament, improving all the time - in spite of hysterical and ignorant criticism from their own fans.
Can la Roja handle these ravenous young Lions, hungry for their first silverware since '66? Both teams go in even in my mind - should be a scintillating finale!

Must be an incredibly tough job for a female nurse to work in a psych ward - among violent psychopaths, the insane and madmen.
Stronger security needed to restrain these nutcases. And clearly they need to be kept away from any weapons.
I just hope the innocent nurse can make a full recovery.

If she accepts money, she has accepted the harassment.
I don't see the point.

Someone clearly does not know the difference between the criminal and civil justice systems in Japan.
You realise the case has long concluded in the criminal system, right?
Brave Ms Gonoi has never at any stage "accepted the harassment". What a bizarre claim.

The Taliban and their hatred of women and girls is despicable. Females are considered by these death cult members to be the equivalent - or lower - than pigs or dogs.
I (for once) applaud the IOC for insisting on having female representation on the team - and it is appropriate that they will compete under the old Afghan flag, not the death cult one. 5 of the 6 who live overseas will almost certainly never set foot in Afghanistan again whilst the Taliban are in control. God knows the fate that would befall the female athletes if they did.

Do whatever you want..

LOL
Communist China rules nothing. What they manufacture is shoddy rubbish, they bully neighbours because they are greedy and only focused on material gains, the people hate the idea of freedom, they cannot make friends, and they are not respected or liked anywhere in the free, democratic world.
The Japan-Philippines alliance is a great thing - and there will be many more in the region.

Hats off to The Three Lions! Saka and Pickford were outstanding.
Maybe, just maybe, some of the endless moaning of many England fans, the booing and cup throwing after their previous games, will now turn to hope? Gaffer Southgate is just two wins away from managing the most successful team his nation has seen in close to 60 years - and the knighthood and statue at Wembley that would come with it.
England will be very difficult to stop now. They sure have the talent.

Happy Birthday to His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. He has stood up to and stared down Communist China all his life, advocating a path of non-violent, peaceful resistance. Here's hoping the next Lama will be discovered in the form of a baby in the next few years.
Even a small picture of the Lama in one's possession in China will see one jailed for a very long time - or even worse. That's how much China despises him - because he states the truth : Tibet is a sovereign nation under illegal Chinese rule.
