Posted in: Tokyo residents seek to block building of massive data center See in context
rhey are built in areas with infrastructure the government puts in place for high speed lines. For a green data center power is handled in most cases as are impacts to the surroundings. A lot of nonsense on the residents. Power consumption would not affect them with government infra requirements. Seems more like complaining for no real reason other than it’s a foreign company doing it. If foreign investment isn’t wanted other cities are welcoming Osaka for one. The tokyo hub is becoming irrelevant outside of NTT and ATT/Sprint backbones. More upgrades are needed and foreign investment is needed to do it. Maybe they are happy with their 200mb download speed. lol. While most of my friends in singapore and Korea are more st 2gb

Should mention in addition to Japanese people celebrating love in unique ways, which will begin about change eventually, they are being lead by Taiwan and Thailand who are welcoming society to its own people in Asia where legal marriage is celebrated. Love is Love. Let’s hope Japan can lead again in Asia and not continue to be followers. Especially when the average Japanese person welcomes Love.

Don’t want to normalize it because it’s not normal.
so if your argument is valid, Japanese culture to keep women silent and home and submissive and a 2nd class citizen is okay because that is traditional Japanese values and normal, which is also stated in the western bible.

It’s only going to get worse and worse. OlI like these mist things but they should be installed on outdoor platforms along with ceiling fans. I’ve only seen them at selected bus stops often in front of government offices. I can’t believe not one Japanese employee has thought about comfort of their passengers. Was at Marunochi line yesterday at Yotsuya. It was amazingly horrible. No wind at all. No ceiling fans installed to circulate air at all. What has happened to Japanese common sense.

For the pension his father paid into for his working life when he dies doesn’t the remainder go to his estate? If it’s forfeited it seems wrong. It’s his money to pass on. That said I have heard that Japanese government takes 50% of someone’s wealth when they die which is insane. Anyone know if either of these things are true? It is very sad this man didn’t receive a proper burial. I hope now he can.

The club should be investigated as well for the high prices and if customers are clearly informed of the price. Many of these bars skirt the laws and frankly I bet she put her hands on him first. Kabukicho the police even know about it and do nothing. Only when the police shut down these kinds of place that over charge will anything change

June to now and no investigation? If japan was concerned it would send someone to check it out and if it is military then remove it. These things always happen with counties and waters. Japan needs to start to get a long and act like the adult in the room when bully China is around. Stop playing the victim and start talking and taking the higher ground. Not complaining all the time. Seems they should investigate before wining about its installation.

I thought trains always were checked at the start and stop stations? They always were walking thru them at shinjuku before checking to make sure everyone was off before the next group got on. That was odakyu befoee anyway. 7:40pm is their last train? Explains the overly crowded trains at 23:00 if they are starting to close down by 8. No cctv working on the train to see when he kind of stopped moving. Quite a sad story.

Wish and hope they would fit better in a western or branded wallet. They are frankly to big. They always stick out. Designs look the same generally so it’s all a hoot for nothing. Not much color as well at all and like everything done with “safe” aspect to not rock the boat. Just think of the billions companies need to spend now or not. Perhaps people will just reject them when they don’t work anywhere.

All these places that installed self check out and machines to cut cost and turn their customers into employees now are probably going to be needing staff again to actually count change. The insert and get the change without thought days are over I hope. I wonder if anyone knows how to count change back here anymore. I can remember them before seeking out calculators for simple money change back years ago. Once had a total of 1011 yen and give the lady 5061 yen. She had to search for a calculator to know to give me 4050 yen in change. These days I am sure are back. lol
