Projection mapping

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building’s Projection Mapping project is running until the end of 2024 under the theme of “Synergy." Designed by Belgian CG and image creator Maxime Guislain, “Synergy” depicts how human activities intersect with nature in a complex way, and how we can create a bright future where we coexist, by striving for harmony.

Let's forget all Japan problem, failing economy, labor shortage, low population growth and enjoy projection mapping. For how long those problem can be forgotten?

Projection mapping: boring and lazy.

Boring and lazy

To each his own, I suppose. A few years ago we went to USJ when our kids were young. We almost left early when it got dark, but when the image projection show started, wow, so glad we didn't. It was way more incredible than any image mapping I had seen before. Jaw droppingly detailed. Not lazy at all for the creative who created it.

Humans are more than economic animals. Never underestimate the arts.

Because as humanity, we should only pick one thing at a time to do, right?

This projection mapping nonsense cost Tokyo residents 4.8 billion yen!

@socrateos Call this art? You must be joking!

Absolutely breathtaking artwork projections! The detail is phenomenal. Big up to Belgian CG and image creator Maxime Guislain for these images.

The record number of foreign tourists in Tokyo are just loving this - and the images are featuring heavily in social media.
