employment numbers are always inflated. they include the construction people who are gone after completion.
most people should be savvy enough to know this. alway over promise to get permits and under deliver.
the average staffing at a data center is from 50 to 200, which is only google centers. maybe half are technicians, the rest of them are low paying clean up, stacking, loading and unloading trucks.

cold weather affects range more. 25% less range @ 0°c on highway driving.
up to 50% less in urban traffic. ev’s also use the battery for heat, ice cars do not.
heat doesn’t affect them as much, maybe 2-5% reduced range.

it isn’t even ai. it’s bots, which have been around for decades, and simple programming to copy the content.
ai at this point is a hoax to manipulate stock prices and valuations. all you ever see are samples and examples and tests, all of which are crap.

Sorry, the above should read 160,000 yen/month and *310,000 yen/month**.
the conversion is irrelevant since neither is exchanging currency.
direct comparisons between the two is like david and goliath because of the massive scale of the us military, and the us military can’t meet recruiting goals either. the us spends about 3% of gdp and japan is approaching 2%.
the us military budget is 12 times that of japan, but us gdp is 4 times that of japan.
no doubt the perks and benefits for the sdf are pathetic, but japan also pays that sympathy budget to the us instead of to its own forces.
ground forces are not that important for japan, since it isn’t trying to be a world police force.

heat stroke and heat exhaustion are different.
heat exhaustion is treated with an iv and the person recovers without a hospital stay. symptoms include headache, nausea and cramps.
heat stroke is a life-threatening condition with the core body temperature above 40°c and serious symptoms, including seizures and hallucinations.
about 75% of patients hospitalized for heat- related symptoms are heat exhaustion. if 119 people had heat stroke, at least 10% would not recover.
let’s do better in reporting.

it’s interesting that when you watch their confirmation hearings of the trump judges, they all said that there is no basis in the constitution for presidential immunity for crimes and no one is above the law. they were emphatic that there is no immunity for presidents.
in addition, they all said under oath that roe v. wade is so embedded with multiple confirming precedents, that there could not be a legitimate legal challenge.

why is it so difficult for people to accept that neither are up to the job. lbj declined to run for re-election for the good of the country. he knew of his unpopularity.
nixon resigned for the good of the country.

saw a study on how gen z gets their news. i’m a boomer, so i read a lot of different sources on the same topic, then think about it.
gen z reads only a headline, then goes directly to comments to form their opinion. in many cases, they adhere to the view of their influencers to stay accepted as part part of the group.
tabloid crap, clickbait, paywalls for content no different than other sources and obvious political bias, and fabricated, false information is maddening.
