Majority of England fans I know fully expect to be knocked out in the Semi's and even if they somehow fluke it into the Finals, Spain will be sure to finish the job. Only the most die-hard (and delusional) England fans expect to win the competition.

Posted in: Hamilton holds off Verstappen's late charge for thrilling Formula 1 win at British GP See in context
Maclaren should have grabbed the top two spots but utterly messed up Piastri's mid-race stop by not stacking with Norris like Mercedes did with Hamilton/Russell. Then chose the wrong tyres for Norris for the final stop when he really should have gone on the mediums. It was already known the slicks weren't the best pick so it was a strange decision by the team.
Still, gotta hand to it Verstappen and the speed he got out of those hard tyres in the last dozen or so laps.
Beautiful swan song for Hamilton and Mercedes, if he only gets the one race win this year at least he got it at the 'home' race that most drivers always like to win in their career.

The author of this article needs to see the replay which clearly shows 'stappen moving to the left which causes the collision. 'stappen crashes into Norris, pure and simple. 10-second penalty was a joke and he needs positions docked at the next race (Silverstone?)

Posted in: NASA picks SpaceX to carry ISS to its watery graveyard after 2030 See in context
The cost is too high, to send it moonward or beyond would require a massive rocket and lots of fuel to fight the Earth's gravity. SpaceX have just given up trying to build a rocket that can get to the moon after spending about 3-billion of tax payers dollars. Far cheaper for a smaller rocket which just needs to nudge it downwards at a controlled descent.

I much prefer to sit through another Ghostbusters movie then read another article like this.
The 2016 travesty is to blame for the lower turn out of Afterlife, once bitten, twice shy as they say.
I’m glad for the female-led 2016 “Ghostbusters.”
Says it all really.
How about one more article in a month or so with the box office figures? We'll see if the movie should have been made or not at that point.

Kind of glad that Leeds were beaten by Chelsea, better off concentrating on returning to the top flight. Handy that Leicester won their game so they'll have to play one game extra now in the final run up.

Looks great from a distance but when you get up close and see the mess of security fences surrounding the base, the majesty of the tower does diminish a bit. At least they've spent some money and put some half decent fencing in place since my visit several years ago.

There's only so many times an album can be rereleased/remastered/re-whatever and it's great that McCartney has taken things in a different direction for the 50th edition. More artists need to release albums in such a way so fans can appreciate how songs sound at different times in their production.

I believe the judge is looking at a life sentence for the pair though that means about 20-25 years in reality, with parole around their late 30's/early 40's.
Crazy part is how the killers immediately turned on each other, using the same story to pin the crime on the other. Glad the jury decided on sending them both down for the crime.

No-one cares about the Club World Cup, ask fans to reel off what trophies their club has won and it'll always be the League, followed by the local Cup finals and whatever continental trophies like the Champions League. Very few will even bother to mention if their team won the Club World Cup even if its the only thing their team won that season as it's such a non-entity.

The real issue is that the museum has so many artefacts from other cultures, that to give one set back to a country will open the flood gates for other countries to demand the same. The British Museum would end up half empty so the Government are deliberately gatekeeping it all. Your average Brit couldn't care less and wouldn't miss a lot of this stuff being sent back to where they originated.

I found the song to be OK and enjoyable, I would've preferred an unreleased song written in the 60's then just a Lennon demo again. I do hope it gets to number 1 in the UK, even for one week.
One thing I didn't like though is the music video, the goofiness just doesn't sit with the song in my opinion and they could've done a lot better with the archive they had on hand.
