If the neo Nazis do get in, they will not be repatriating all of those immigrants. Because you can only do that when you have the agreement of the nation that you are repatriating them to.

not true. Gather them up - at gunpoint if necessary - and drop them off the same way they arrived - by boat. Send every last one of them back. Man, woman and child

organized crime recruits them? Put them on the same boat.

So how do you do all of that?

Tighten border controls. Remove illegal immigrants. Enforce laws that are broken in the name of religion. Jail, fine and revoke visas of immigrants who commit crime.

It’s really quite simple. I’m surprised the “educated” among us don’t get it.

Posted in: Do you think school teachers in Japan are overworked? See in context

I was an ALT and I would say that a good chunk of your working hours is delegated to pointless tasks such as long-winded meetings and being expected to take on the full workload of an organic teaching staff but none of the benefits. If it was only the strict teaching time, I would say that I only spent a maximum of 3 hours in front of kids and the rest of that is in the staff room

I was an ALT for a bit too. But never had to attend a meeting. Finish classes? Go home! Usually around 2:30. 3:30 if it was a long day, lunchtime if it was short. Good times!

But the teachers definitely worked too long.

What happened to "everyone is EQUAL before the Law "?

Nothing. The charges in question were “trumped up,” shall we say, and will, as they should, be overturned at a later date,

The Biden campaign said in a statement that "Trump has only grown more unhinged. He's promising to be a dictator 'on day one,' calling for our Constitution to be 'terminated' so he can regain power, and promising a 'bloodbath' if he loses."

The Biden campaign loves to continue with this deception, and the media continues to be complicit in the lie.

Trump’s use of the term "bloodbath" is used metaphorically to describe a potential economic crisis, suggesting that the country could experience significant financial turmoil, job losses, and other severe economic issues if their policies are not implemented.

Read the entire quote and understand. Or, be willingly wrong.

Posted in: Kishida pledges travel aid program 6 months after Ishikawa quake See in context

Let's not bother with this "help people via tourism" charade. There can be hardship in towns with no tourists. Only wealthy people and non time-poor people can travel. The government should also help people who are not wealthy and time poor. Giving cheap travel to the relatively wealthy (in money and time) to help what may already be the wealthier bits of Noto is far from ideal.

So what if only wealthy people and non time-poor people can take advantage of the travel discount system? It’s about helping to create financial support for the affected areas.

Now, whether or not these programs actually help those areas is another, albeit more important, issue. personally, I think it’s a stupid move. Rebuilding with nobody there is obviously easier than with some people there. So it goes to reason that MORE people there due to the travel program would make things go slower.

Rebuild first. THEN offer discounts to travel there.

Sigh. You don't know what you are missing.

Sounds like you found some really precious friends. I don’t doubt it. But if I get another dog, I want one from puppy age. I’m not on a mission to save dogs.

I dated for some time a Japanese cabin attendant who has been working for ANA for almost 20 years. She said that without any doubt the Japanese were the more difficult to deal with. She described them as rude, impolite and often miss behaving in one way or another.

I don’t believe it for a second. Flying within Japan is almost always completely Japanese except for me and everyone acts great. Flying in and out of Japan is okay as well. I went back home for the first time in some years and flying there was awful. Every part of the experience!

Appearing sharper than he did in a disastrous debate against Donald Trump the night before…

Perhaps he should gracefully step down from the campaign and instead spend his time supporting LGBT issues as it obviously invigorates him more than the idea of being POTUS.

Posted in: Biden concedes debate fumbles but declares he will defend democracy See in context

President Joe Biden forcefully tried on Friday to quell Democratic anxieties over his unsteady showing in his debate with former President Donald Trump, as elected members of his party closed ranks around him in an effort to shut down talk of replacing him atop the ticket.

Efforts to dispel worries about Biden's mental acuity and physical stamina remind me of the Wizard of Oz declaring, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" Biden and his inner circle will say and do anything to convince the public of his competence. But the game is up. Now, there are only those who recognize the truth and those who recognize it but choose to deny it.

Very tip of the iceberg. People should be well aware of this when they visit pet shops for designer dogs.

Aware. But I'm not going to get a rescue dog, so it's off to the designers!
