Glad she is safe and sound.

Any mandatory or forced / coerced medical procedure is unconstitutional, ethically unsound, against a person's Human Rights and the people pushing for it are morally bankrup - in all cases.

The Non Disclosure Agreement which was paid was not the so-called 'illegal' part of the case.
Trying to flimsily tie it to election interference created the novel crime.
When that so-called 'crime' supposedly occurred and in what capacity could indeed have been part of 'official acts'.
With baited breath we wait - albeit not until later, and likely - not at all.

I remember a couple of years ago, when the Gov was paying our tax money to restaurants and bars and other establishments a substancial daily amount if they shut their doors or reduced patronage until arbitrary times.
Even held an Olympics without visitors and shut the country off to most tourists for close to 2 years.
People worked remotely and stopped visiting their local bento or ramen place close to their offices for lunch and after work drinks.
Yeah, I am not suprised in the slightest that it's in the current state it's in.
Laughable that anyone thought that they were a rock solid set of ideas.
Sad chuckles all around.

The Governor and the Deputy Governors shall be appointed by the Cabinet,
Yes. However, But they don't work for, or on behalf of the Government, although may work in request to help stabilize exchange policy.
Therefore IOU of banknotes is from the BoJ, to the Government and hence the taxpayer.
Of course as a business .the BoJ must adhere to the Law as much as a convinience store would.
The BoJ are a juridicual person and officers cannot be involved in public office.
For interest:
(Article 26(1)An officer of the Bank of Japan (excluding counselors; hereinafter the same applies in this Article and Articles 31 and 32) must not conduct any of the following acts during their term of office:
(i)becoming a candidate for the Diet, for any council of a local government, or for any elected public office;
(ii)becoming an officer of any political body including a political party, or actively engaging in political activities;
.,.
(2)If an officer of the Bank of Japan becomes a candidate for the Diet, for any council of a local government, or for any elected public office, that officer is deemed to have resigned as an officer of the Bank.)

Probably and it will be a living nightmare. There are still machines and parking lots that won’t accept the new ¥500 coin, so you expect some headaches for a long time, unless they have a massive plan to simultaneously implement new machines around the same time, but this being Japan, I doubt it.
As far as electronic pay is concerned you might have better luck using that than hard paper currency for now until the system is securely put in place.
Most probably, just another manufactured annoyance to push more and more companies and zombie card tappers into the digital slave trade.

Posted in: Australian diplomat says adding AUKUS partners like Japan complicated See in context
Australia and UK are both island countries, so it's complicated to let any foreign gaikokujins in their club, as they don't know the manners or language needed in the culture.
They are probably afraid that meetings might be chotto awkward, so don't want any embarrassing moments, which may hurt the honorable feelings of any new guests.
Plus the 2nd tier would need to have a different pricing strategy for outsiders and Japan just can't afford it, even with the shiny new bank notes.
Super plus, plus, Japanese cybersecurity and intelligence sharing is like a rusty sieve. So no way can be possible to wisper any sweet nothings lest it go straight onto Wikileaks.

Japan in highly indebted and sevefal banks including the BoJ are insolvent of very close to bankrupsy.
There is no reason or economic fundamentals that can see a rise in the JPY atm, except for speculators cashing in or trading like crypto.

Wonderful news for him and his family.
A guilty plea was a necessary evil on their behalf but I am yet to see any crime that was committed.
Exposing crimes by criminal Government members and their corrupt military s is what a journalist should be doing.
He was used as a scapegoat to scare and deter other concerned and enlightened global citizens about daring to speak up to power.
Those that were guilty, lied about WMD and those murderers in the helicopter.
Talking and exposing facts is to be admired. Heroic and brave against ones own personal freedom and safety
Well done Julian.

Posted in: Japan to face 36% truck driver shortfall in FY2030: study See in context
This is a major issue going forward.
Self driving trucks won't be anywhere close to existence in 6 years - people are expecting robots to load and offload the goods too?
Sure some drones and automation will come into play but not fpr at least 15 years or more in any substantial way.
Rail isn't feasible for the whole country. Many areas don't have accesible rail, so need trucks at load and offloading points too.
If the freight supply doesn't move smoothly, bottle necks and shortages of products occur and rising prices will be the result. Especially in rural areas where the people can least afford it.
More labor is required for people to drive and load / unload the necessary trucks. More human drivers are essential.
Now.
Period.

For non traditional and loosly termed 'vaccines', which don't do the above, it's a hard pass.
I find it hard to find a reason for any vaccines though atm.
