Casio G-Shock is a well-known wristwatch that is desired by people in Brazil, especially those concerned on toughness, durability, reliability, endurance. The success confirmation is that there are countless design copies, trying to imitate it externally, but, of course, totally unable to reproduce the fine engineering inside, shock resistance.

Loneliness is Japan is a cruel fact, reality. The mentioned salon created by Fujisato city, Akita province should be an example to be followed, adopted by all cities in Japan, could be an 24 hours open place, with comfortable seats, table games as chess, library with books, newspapers, magazines, coffee shop, restaurants, karaoke, TV room, cats, dogs, flowers, garden. Could charge a small fee. Anyway, initiatives could be taken to provide people alone to meet others for friendship and who knows, to find someone to share companionship.

Political campaigns should be reinvented not only in Japan, but worldwide. The price of electing bad politicians is high, so, something better than the existing system must be conceived. Existing politicians should make a monthly report of their work, and candidates must explicit in detail their targets.

North Korea is one of the very few places that Putin can visit without fear of being arrested to jail. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Putin. This is in connection with the forced deportation of children during the war from Ukraine to Russia1, which is recognized as a crime under the Rome statute1.

Posted in: Allowing foreign trainees to switch jobs stirs debate in rural Japan See in context

There is no secret keeping good employees, including foreigners. First, the golden law, treat others as you would like to be treated, foreigners are human beings who deserve the same respect as national ones. Work contract must be fair, up to 40 hours a week, up to 5 days a week, up to 2 hours of overtime a day, the essence is to garante a minimum monthly salary to bear the costs and allow some savings (most people come to Japan to save money). Some companies provide good meals at fair prices, at least a decent place to eat, to rest is important. Foreigner employees will stick to good conditions places, where they can work to live, not live to work. Gaijin people have the same expectations of being respected as human beings as local ones and their loyalty must be earned by initiative of companies interested to develop human resources for long term relationship.

War is a stupid decision that old men incapable of dialogue decide to sacrifice young people. 123 out of 222 idealistic young nurses lives were sacrificed prematurely, may their death not be in vain and incentive all people alive to resolve disputes by non violent ways, by diplomacy, by sharing and cooperating instead of killing each other.

I am very sad to read these news regarding the exploitation of Vietnamese workers but at the same time I am glad to see that this became public news and so, it is a way to denounce this type of human rights violation. Hope that the irresponsible top executives that let this happen receive a proper punishment and all workers receive a proper reimbursement plus some moral damages amount.

Posted in: Japan to step up enrollment of foreign residents in pension system See in context

There is an agreement between Japan and Brazil regarding the retirement, so both countries recognize the working time reciprocally and if monthly pension is paid in one country it is not necessary to pay in another, it counts in both countries and pension will be calculated proportionally. 65 years old is the age of retirement for men in both countries. Nobody likes to have to pay monthly tax, but this is like a saving account, better than nothing, for young people it may be worth claiming for the last 5 years payments to start their own business.

Posted in: 45% of Japanese living abroad feel lonely: gov't study See in context

Despite the extreme concern on other feelings as a cultural value, it does not have a positive impact on social interaction with others, on the contrary, there is an effect of constant feeling to be being a nuisance, a not welcome person wherever you are. There is a permanent need to be invisible, not noticiable being, silence is gold, play dead in all places, work, bus, train, underground, public places. I guess that church goers, people who participate of some religious groups as evangelical churches do not feel so lonely as those who not. This is a suggestion, to belong to some type of group, community with live presence, not only online, remote.

It is a terrific opportunity to Japan and China demonstrate that they are creative and peace lovers and negotiate to share these islands as grown-up mature adults, not kids, not warriors. Let's make this a cooperation project, share, and divide results, exchange knowledge, develop friendship between nations! The world does not need more conflicts, tension, harsh and deadly disputes. A WIN-WIN solution is the best option to all parts, to the mankind!

Wow! Great news, so, let's go to 7-11 to enjoy Korean food! It is good to see the cultural exchange between Japan and Korea, this is a common interest to build good relations!

Posted in: Japan conveys concern to China over military activity See in context

True good leaders should take initiative of taking cooperation actions. It is silly to imitate stupid aggressive attitudes as North Korea, the unstable rocket kid. What is the advantage of violence like Putin against Ukraine? We are all watching the mass killings in Gaza against millions of Palestinians civilians. China, Japan and South Korea can be different and show humanity, solidarity and take peaceful actions instead of increasing the tension in the world. Let's Asian people lead the world by giving example of humanity and solidarity.

Great attitude towards support to the mass killings of innocent civilians in Gaza. Hamas terrorist attack killed 1477 Israelis and in retaliation Israel has already killed over 34,000 Palestinians, mostly unarmed children and women, elderly people. Israel has been destroying thousands of homes, hospitals schools, acting with extremely over reaction unjustified and being condemned by International Court of Justice and over 75% of countries which are now supporting the creation of a Palestinian State.

Most of people have smartphones, perhaps the city government could develop an app for the elderly people to voluntarily adopt, to confirm daily that they are OK or not, and so, a social assistant could call or visit in the case of absence, no interaction. To have a dead body found after a long time sounds very cruel, some may die quickly but some may had a slow death that could be avoided if proper help could be provided in time. Life is sacred.

Great news! Brazil is a very large country, over 8.5 million square km of territory, over 200 million people, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki are there, along major European car makers, China and Korea. There is a large market to conquer, not only in Brazil, but all South America. Honda's decision in hybrid vehicles is a wise one, as 100% electric vehicles has not national infrastructure.

I had no idea that these supplements could be so dangerous. It is clear the need to create very rigorous Quality Control tests of all supplements before going to be sold. Must be Assured Quality Control tests of all batches before leaving the factory premises. Consumers, customers, pacientes should never be the laboratory rats. Deaths are results when profit is given priority over human respect, incredibly sad, regrettable.

Posted in: City in Saitama Prefecture to require multilingual trash rules posted for foreigners See in context

Regarding garbage, the best place that I lived was in Isogo, Yokohama, in the building complex that I lived there were only 2 giant garbage bins, one was for burnable trash, another for unburnable trash, so, was easy to separate the garbage - I do not know if the garbage collection was done by the city or was a private company.

Here in Komaki, Aichi, there is an app "threeR" that has a calendar and the type of trash that will be collected, it has an English version at least. But, it is not 100%, for example, which is the category of empty toothpaste tube? And many other doubts. A full list of all products sold in supermarket and the respective classification of trash would be very welcome. Google Translate can do the translation to any other language,

Posted in: Japan to revise official romanization rules for 1st time in 70 years See in context

I live in Aichi, and if it changes to Aiti may have a confusion with Haiti...

Current Romadi is complicated, Duolingo app has a romadi feature but some sounds do not match, so, hope that these changes help to provide a better consistency of sounds, spelling.

I heard from one Korean that they are developing fast due to their simplified writing system (in comparison to the Chinese and Japanese)

Japan should seriously consider to reduce the use of 3 writing systems, hiragana, katakana and kanji. Kanji has to remain, so, choose only one between Katakana and Hiragana would simplify the educational system.

One more coward event, more than 30,000 Palestinians were killed, more than 70,000 were injured, it is a clear war crime the collective punishment of the civilians, children, women, elderly, sick people are being crushed by Israel. How can the entire world see this daily massacre without being outraged by the exaggerated action of Israel? No one approves Hamas terrorist attack, but the response is being several times worst and this will feed continuously the desire to revenge with growing violence. A ceasefire and retreat of Gaza Strip has to be immediately, and the creation of the Palestinian State to shelter the people there in the OPT Occupied Palestinian Territories (Israel must return the territories to their original owners)

It seems to be fair to have the participation of experts from Japan, China, South Korea, North Korea, Russia, USA, Canada, etc, regarding this Fukushima nuclear water being released in the Pacific Ocean. It is a Japanese issue, but Pacific Ocean is an international matter, so, it would be welcome the participation of all affected countries. Transparency and fair play is a must in a so sensitive issue as nuclear water being release into the ocean.
