Liverpool played much better than in recent games. A cracker of a goal from Elliot. Salah had a very good game. I think they will finish in third place behind Arsenal and Man City.

Finally people at the stadium have something not to be gloomy about.

Let's face it Spurs were never going to overtake Villa, with the run in games that Spurs have and their poor form lately.
I'm a Spurs fan for over 50 years - often disappointed. Miss the days of Steve Archibald, Ricky Villa, et al.
Likely we are not going to be caught from behind (Magpies do have chance though), so most satisfaction would come from a Spurs loss to Man City to deny the title going to the Woolwich Scum.

Chelsea picking up recently. Not sure if it will be enough for Pochettino to keep his job though.

Be a shame if they don't give him a chance. Same with Ange at Spurs.
Arteta spent a few years with Woolwich misfiring before he got them running smoothly on all cylinders. They were smart to give him a few years to turn the team around.
Jimizo
I’d be shocked if Spurs got rid of Ange. Definitely deserves another season for me and I get the feeling majority of fans want that.
Not so sure with Pochettino. As a former Spurs manager he already had a lot of the fan base against him.

Mohamed Salah was back in the Liverpool team after being dropped for last weekend's draw at West Ham.
A little taste of false hope for the stadium fans.

Real football fans know the stadiums are referred to by their names, not their functions.
zibala
How come you don't know that Liverpool FC refers to the stadium in which they play as, the stadium?

The real fans call it "Anfield" and so do all the sports commentators. No one calls it "Anfield Stadium". It's just one of your many hang-ups. Everyone knows they are football stadiums but refer to them by name.
Anfield is mentioned in your posted link.

If you insist on describing it as a stadium at least call it the Anfield Stadium.

I guess you never visit the site because you don't follow Liverpool but the team's website uses the term stadium, so I guess you're wrong again Z.
Let's see the below:

I was born within walking distance of Anfield. When we went to the game we didn't say "We are going to the stadium on Saturday". We would say "We are going to Anfield".
Your link refers to "Anfield".
But as you are an outsider and have never been to Anfield, never stood in the Kop, I can understand your confusion.
You simply lack an understanding of the passion of the fans because you don't have it.

The other FSG-owned stadium is called Fenway Park.

Yeah, sure.
At the same time from Liverpool FC's own website:

So, stadium it is.
nickybutt
"We are going to Anfield". This is correct.

Nice picture of fans in the stadium.
