Lock this idiot up he doesn't believe in boundaries nor does he believe he is a guest of a country. There is no way he would have committed such an act in China because he would have been possibly sent to a camp. Japan should prosecute this guy to the fullest and once he does his time in jail deport him immediately after he pays for his room and board in jail!!! "would not report to police because the conduct was a protest against Japan's release of treated wastewater from the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant".

LMFAO the survey was taken by Fuji says that late teens and 20's favor same sex, since when did that age group opinion matter they aren't old enough to vote or drink!! Now all of a sudden their opinion counts?

A Fuji TV survey last year showed 91.4% of respondents in their late teens and 20s were in favor of same-sex marriage, whereas less than half of those aged 70 or older endorsed it.

@Japantime ZZZZZZZZzzz what video game are you playing? Sorry to say Japan will not be a contender looking at the ranking they are way down on the list!

Japan will definitely be one of the contenders. They have one of the best young players in Rui Hachimura as well as other NBA stars. America will have to play their best to beat them.

Drove through Death Valley on the way to Las Vegas and back home. Many people stopped their cars and got out just to experience the heat while driving through Death Valley National Park. There were also a number of cars and trucks on the side of the freeway that experience overheating. There is signs along the 15 freeway asking those who drive through to turn their AC off. What an experience!

Posted in: Australia doubles foreign student visa fee in migration crackdown See in context

@MilesTeg Pick a side you disagree with a point and then all in one sentence you agreed with it. "Migrants and immigration illegals don't always equate to foreign students. Yes there are some who overstay illegally after they finish their studies but most return to their home countries to look for a job or apply for a job in Australia and hope to get a work visa. Someone who spends $ thousands on education aren't likely going to stay illegally to do manual labour. You would be surprised there are migrants and illegals right now in the US with PHd those who overstayed their visa and those who migrated to the US just because they refuse to live or go back to the country's they came from they have education and would gladly take a job doing manual labor or work under table. Its not a "so call typical knee jerk reaction to blame all a country's problems on illegals and migrants". ITS A KNOWN FACT and those who make money off of these people refuse to acknowledge it and accept the fact that they do take away jobs regardless if it is a shi*t job its still a job they filled. When they do come over to a country and overstay they have to live somewhere so therefore if they do get an apartment it is one that a citizen of the country could not get and once they come in numbers the demand for housing goes up which forces owners to go up on rents. LMFAO and you had the nerve to talk about "Supply and Demand" I suggest you pull out your ECON 100 book. There is no such think as a good job or a bad job. A job is a job and one that has to get done. Yes if a citizen owns a home he has the right to sell it to a citizen or a foreigner and if the foreigner is coming their with cash and paying above the demand price it does effect ordinary citizens because it sets a precedence for future sells. Illegal immigration and immigration can have varied effects on the citizens of a country, and these effects can be positive, negative, or neutral depending on numerous factors including the country's economic conditions, immigration policies, and social dynamics. The true impact of immigration, including illegal immigration, depends largely on how well the process is managed, the integration policies in place, and the capacity of the country to absorb and benefit from new arrivals. Effective policies can mitigate negative impacts and amplify positive contributions, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic society. Again it depends on HOW WELL THE PROCESS IS BEING MANAGED and in most cases it is out of control!!!

Migrants and immigration illegals don't always equate to foreign students. Yes there are some who overstay illegally after they finish their studies but most return to their home countries to look for a job or apply for a job in Australia and hope to get a work visa. Someone who spends $ thousands on education aren't likely going to stay illegally to do manual labour. They're cracking down on visa loopholes extensions which will help reduce those stay for unclear reasons.

It's the typical knee jerk reaction to blame all a country's problems on illegals and migrants. If you can't find a decent job, it probably has more to do with what you did or didn't do and not blame the illegal or migrant. Chances are locals would never do the work that illegals and migrants do cause they think they're too good for those jobs.

Trying to connect it with the housing situation is even more laughable because in the vast majority of cases it's an Australian owner/citizen who sells their property to a foreigner. Or it's a case of supply vs. demand. Most foreign students aren't buyers either, they're renters.

If the Japanese people are fed up go march in the streets and demand closure of the bases, and all of the posters here making comments write to the politicians why waste your time here. Nothing is going to happen politics rules out everything. How many times have we read about this type of incident. The same posters will be posting again and the politicians who have the power will do nothing. Politics as usual!

@Ricky Kaminski13 Do you think Rahm Emmanuel is versed in making thing any worse than they need to be? Think a gain!! They invented the word dumb for him!!!

Thankfully the chaos and insanity of domestic politics in the U.S doesn’t necessarily transfer its way into foreign policy.

So don’t worry, Trump will not bring about the end of the world, no matter what the panic merchants say. If it’s Biden we all just get to cringe and watch in stupefied amazement for another few years, ( months? ) just sit back and enjoy the parody in all its splendor.

Thankfully foreign diplomats are usually pretty well educated, sophisticated and versed in not making things any more worse than they need to be. It’s sort of part and parcel of the diplomat mission, you know being diplomatic!

Here you have Li begging and trying to play the victim of being shut out of the market. China only intention is to get in and then take over by undercutting everyone total greed. Since when did China want to work closely together with any country I would think their meaning of working together is putting a knife in your back and stealing and pushing the knife in deeper as you bleed out. They China talk the game and do the opposite!!

Countries should “work closely together, reject bloc confrontation, oppose decoupling and disconnection, maintain the stability and smoothness of industrial and supply chains, and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation,” Li said in a speech to the conference.

The reality of it all the biggest loser is the kid, most often the kid struggle with forming healthy relationships in the future due to having distorted views on familial bonds. They become alienated from the estranged parent and refuse to have any contact and they experience confusion, guilt, anger, or sadness and struggle with conflicting feelings about the parent because of what the other parent might have told them. In other words the child has become brainwashed to believe that the other parent is bad, and the kid suffers psychological and emotionally from years of hearing about distorted views.

Let's say Artificial Intelligence was years into making and has finally arrived. Perhaps, this is nothing but a foreseeable project that is now coming to light being that its so dark and under cover. People have been talking about Artificial Intelligence re-crafting artist who have past and now recreating songs with their vocal abilities and writing songs. Let's just say Ado is nothing but Artificial Intelligence project where the creators are now trying to get audience to accept.

Posted in: Secret-identity J-pop singer Ado to hold handshake event with surreal setup to hide her face See in context

@Antiquesaving If she doesn't like being in the light, then she should turn it off, and not perform at all. There is a price you pay for fame and fortune when you become a star you have no private life it becomes public!

Some may see this as a gimmick, but there are so many advantages to her anonymity!

First people focus less in her, less in her appearance and her personal life and far more on her music and singing, of which she is phenomenal.

Next she started at 17 online and is now 21, she can still walk the streets, go shopping, be with friends and family like other teens and young adults without being constantly under scrutiny or having meals, events, etc...interupted by people that often think celebrities owe them and must interact with fans anywhere at any time!

But in my opinion the best part of this is we focus on her signing and the music!

@Redemption Why would you blame the guy saying he needs anger management perhaps you could take some thinking logic classes. The article says the guy was hit from behind, perhaps she was putting on her make up and not paying attention or on her phone. Hitting some one from behind clearly makes you at fault. And you said "Being late to your pathetic job is not a big deal". Perhaps she was late for her job, remember she rammed him. The only thing he did wrong was put hands on her. He has every right to be angry.

@Design Monkey a wise man would do what you did before instead of talk about how much you have. The bigger the risk the bigger the gain but as they say talk is just jibberish!

For myself, as far as my trust in the erosion of the Japanese yen. The last time the Yen went over 147 I did a transfer for $200,000 USD. I was thinking about doing it again if it hit 160 but at this point like I said earlier, if manipulating the currency makes me wanna just leave my money cash in the US.

Posted in: Foreign visitors to Japan top 3 mil for 3rd straight month in May See in context

@SapperJon what a SAS!!! They were pleased that we were English rather than American. and even more so that we were staying in Osaka! Does that make you better? Are you smarter than a 5th grader, did you give them a "ENGLISH" lesson reminding them that "ENGLISH" is a language that is spoken by many people from different countries and not nationality. Ok I get it, perhaps you didn't know either, to lost in the interview. LMFAO Lost in translation!!

*We visited for the fifth time in May. Our first time was in 2002, much has changed in those years. We were approached by a group of school children in 2002 whilst visiting Nara, so they could practice their English. This time in Kyoto we were approached by three very polite* young male students from Osaka Kaimei High School, who again asked us questions to improve their English. They were pleased that we were English rather than American. and even more so that we were staying in Osaka!

We noted that more people could speak English this time but where we couldn't speak Japanese nor they English, Google Translate came to the rescue.

This was our final visit due to our age, I wish the Japanese people well and thank you for your understanding and politeness over the years.

@stickman1760 All of what you written is point on and IF he arrives he will undergo many physicals. This guy has been on the radar for several years and the MLB national scouts are taking notes. Should there be any questioning regarding missed starts and the issues they will have a lot to do with salary negotiations. As far as going to the Dodgers there is a salary cap if they do decide to sign Roki they will have to off load some players if he commands a hefty salary. On another note one player doesn't win a WS its takes a team.

This story fails to mention how often he has been injured or has failed to complete a full season. Scouts have to be a little weary of that.
