Russia has really good point on this one, double standard does exist.

What good point?

Russia doesn't even have a good leg to stand on after reading this.

“The Russian government apparently is ignoring the fact they have forced us (into) action,” the IOC leader said. “It is their invasion and in particular it is their annexation of parts of Ukraine.

“What is also remarkable is that this aggressivity is coming from the very same government that was behind the scandalous manipulation of the anti-doping system before and during and even after Sochi,” Bach said of the 2014 Winter Games in Russia.

A Russian doping case — of figure skating star Kamila Valieva — also rocked the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, and the teenager was banned for four years by the CAS in January.

The hypocrisy is nauseating! Israel has slaughtered many more Palestinians than Russia has Ukrainians yet Israel is allowed to attend. When is the world going to make a stand against all genocidal regimes not just the Wests enemies?

So Israel who kills as many civilians in 2 weeks as Russia in 2 years is fine and dandy by IOC standards while Russia is not? The hypocricy is sky high can not get any bigger. Ban both or neither but be consistent.

I wonder why Hongkong and Macau still have NOC’s ?

they have both reverted to China since 1997 and 2000 so they are, as China so proudly and clearly states, part of China.

more and more the athletes selected are mainland Chinese.

of course IOC does not care about money and contributions as they are such an ethical and morally sound organisation so that can not be the reason of the continued existence of the HK and Macau NOC’s

Even if you use the low figure of 30k Ukrainian servicemembers killed + civilians, it is more than the Gaza Hamas Ministry claims have been killed in Gaza.

Russia has the overarching war crime of War of Aggression on its hands.

The issue is civilians killed , not soldiers, as you well know. And on that count Israel is far ahead of Russia in terms of other side civilians killed. Nice try though.

Did you also call for the US/UK & co. to be banned from Olympics and other events when they were busy tallying up casualties in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen etc? Consistency and all....

When Ukraine was unilaterally invaded, unprovoked by Russia, the comparison of soldiers is just. Those soldiers should not have been fighting, and the fact that they are dead, is on Russia. As are the 1 million plus dead Russian sons, and their angry moms.

Thank NATO expansion plans for that, but whether one agrees with that trigger or not , it still leaves the same question - Did your team ( along with the IOC ) also call for the US/UK & co. to be banned from Olympics and other events when they were busy tallying up casualties in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen etc? You know righteous consistency and all....

Why would I thank fake Russian propaganda. It's not even logical - clearly Putin had his own plans to expand Russian borders towards NATO by taking over Ukraine, and unlike NATO, Putin actually acted upon that.

So yeah, all Russia's fault, enough of your silly Kremlin propaganda.

In a war of aggression, soldiers for the defenders count to. We can't know what the true number of civilians dead is until Russia is defeated. Nice try though.

That war was over in a matter of weeks because the US isn't pathetic.

Only the Russian believes he can take all your sh*t because something something he didn't like in the past. And Libya was UN authorized, Syria is a war against ISIS, and Yemen the US is not invading. Simple logic removes 90% of your nonsense.

Typical neocon hypocricy and double standard nonsense. Our wars are just wars , our bombs are friendly bombs, the civilians we killed are "collateral damage" etc.... How many tens / hundreds of thousands died in Iraq just as one example, both civilians and soldiers, in an invasion based on White House lies ( WMD's and white powder)? Do as we say not as we do. As always. Nice try though.

Of course it's not in question.

Why would anyone even ask if it was?
