Fight for control of Yemen's banks between rebels, government threatens to further wreck economy

Terrorist organizations (or resistance movements, even) have some strengths, but good governance is not typically one of them.

Yemen has banks? I always thought you needed a functioning government and treasury to have banks. Makes me wonder who there has any money to deposit.

Only Iran has money in Yemen. How else can they get people to risk their lives for stupid reasons?
