More weird misogynistic right-wing conspiracy theories

It's no conspiracy theory.

It's a fact that many western women, in social media, mainstream media as well as IRL, are bemoaning the fact that they wish they'd married and started having a family instead.

But a certain group of people don't want that....

They don't want women to focus on families.

Like I said, it's neither the male nor the female Japanese politicians.

But another....

Nobody is controlling what women think or want to do with their bodies (unless abortion is illegal), though I know a lot of men want to. Women are not stupid. Women are free to have a family or not. They don't have to have babies if they don't want to. Most do.

While many praised Hu for her actions, some posted harassing comments on social media, labeling her as a "traitor" for trying to save the Japanese and praising the attacker for his patriotism,

A little concerning that there is an element who hold genuine hatred for Japanese people in China. A legacy of WWII actions, but those responsible have all passed and those alive now hold no responsibility for the harmful actions of their ancestors.

You cannot dismiss Japan's actions against Chinese in the last century so lightly.

The Japanese massacred, raped, tortured men, women, children and babies and pillaged across China for years, and this is barely taught in schools these days. It was as bad and often far worse than the Nazis.

You are missing the fact that there is a lot of blatant discrimination against Chinese in Japan in the public and media. The only thing I heard sp[oken about Chinese people in the media and people I knew in Japan was racist. It is quite shocking how casually the Japanese make racist comments about the Chinese.

They say things like, 'oh, probably Chinese did that (crime)''

'That's like Chinese style/ product (suggesting it's bad quality or not good).

Chinese people are well aware of the attitudes the Japanese have about them inside and outside Japan.

Ask any openly Chinese person (many of them hide their Chinese identity as Koreans do) in Japan how they are treated.

In Japan, even elementary school students commute to school by train, but in America, they cannot walk to school by themselves. Every time I see a milk carton with a portrait of a child with the word "Missing" written on it, I get depressed thinking about how many children are being kidnapped in America.

Before criticizing other countries, why doesn't America try to make its own country better? Can't they even do that?

The belief that Japanese children walking to school means it is inherently safer than in the US or other countries is a myth that the media perpetuates. This practice stems more from cultural tradition, practicality, and a higher tolerance for risk among Japanese parents than a reflection of greater safety.

Within reason, Japanese children face the same risks of being kidnapped, assaulted, run over, or bullied on their way to school as children in other countries.
