The geological origins of Shirahige Waterfalls add yet another layer of fascination. Formed by the volcanic eruption of Mount Tokachi, these falls showcase subterranean water streams out from between layers of lava and rock formations. Measuring about 40 meters wide and dropping around 30 meters, the waterfalls emanate the calming sound of cascading water, beckoning people to immerse themselves in nature’s grandeur.

In the summer, Shirahige Waterfalls exuded an enchanting elegance, resembling a flowing white beard against the cliffside. The tranquil atmosphere created by the surrounding green forest offers a mesmerizing natural spectacle.
