Just like Toyota, Dentsu, or other major corporations in Japan, they are too big to be touched even if there were 1000 deaths over their products. They have into their pockets too many politicians, persecutoers, judges, etc to even worry about any major repercussions.

Posted in: Russia protests to Japan about joint exercises with NATO countries See in context

Ah, Russia. The World's nr. 1 bully, right after China.

Sadly, those 2 countries are the reason NATO still exists, and why EU is now in the process of creating an organised army of the Union.

O guess those American bases in Japan are a positive thing now, especially with the Chinese and Russian aggressions.

If ¥ will crash to 200 for a USD, this will mean game over for Japan and Japanese Economy. Busy mostly for Japanese population which will start to be as poorer as South Easter Asian countries.

Already the trend is there. Japanese economy lives now only from tourism, just like countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, etc.

Posted in: Online shopping traps: How can you avoid getting stung? See in context

Simple. Buy only from major online retail shops.

If you still want to buy from a dedicated site, always google search about the site, the reviews for the site, etc.

The biggest scammers seems to be the so called " Canadian Pharmacies" that are actually scam shops from mostly India, China, Philippines or Vietnam. In case you are lucky to receive the package, the medications are either expired, counterfeited, different than requested, but most likely you wont receive any package but they will just use your credit card info until they empty your account.

Let me guess. The following is going to happen, as usually in Japan in 95% of those kind of cases:

the usual, I don't remember I was drunk.

she didn't fight back or said no (tough one, hard to prove either way).

a slap on the wrist as punishment.

a 75 degree baw, for minimum 20 seconds in front of victim and other persecutoers.

back to business as usual.

Is so nice to be a foreign tourist in Japan now. Not that you purchase products way cheaper than is your country, due to very weak curency, you get 10% back because of this "duty-free" nonsense. Basically the tourists enjoy life in Japan, tax free, even if they use all Japan's facilities.

Posted in: China coast guard says it 'drove away' Japanese boats near disputed islands See in context

To be honest, those islands are way closer to Japanese territory (Miyako-jima islands of Okinawan region), then they are to mainland China. However, they are even closer to Taiwan, so they can also claim those.

In the end, is not about the islands, is about the border of teritorial waters, which those islands can give to a country.

When the USD will value 200¥, I am extremely curious about what so called experts are going to babble again about.

Instead of finding the root cause of the Yen devalue, they are just patching it with temporary useless measurements.

Went to driving school here, so the road exam is done by the training center. Only the paper exam you have to go to the Center. If you fail the paper exam in the morning, you can have a 2nd shot, on the same day, in the afternoon. Just be careful if you take the paper exam in English, sorry Engreesh. Yes, the grammar and wording is that confusing, and sometimes doesn't make any sense.

Posted in: 16-year-old student arrested for stabbing classmate during recess See in context

In Japan, bullying is the worst from all developed countries.

Root causes of it are multiple. I think we, the ones living here and having children in schools, know perfectly why and how, but also how there is absolutely zero interest to abolish it, either by severe punishments to both pupil and parents, but more importantly putting the problematic kids into special classes away for peaceful students.

Posted in: Woman goes on trial for killing friend at her request in Tokushima hotel room See in context

Why is that the Japanese government never address the root cause of all those suicide incidents? Maybe because they are too incompetent and don't care at all?

Why or how come those 2 girls never received any support from the system, not to mention parents, teachers, friends?

Why is that nobody cares about you in this country?

Posted in: Japan has no right to meddle in China-Philippines maritime issues, says Chinese embassy in Japan See in context

Imagine bother Philippines and Japan freezing all Chinese assets on those countries and confiscating all the land and proprieties bought by the Chinese "investors" on them.

Actually I am not sure in Philippines foreigners can buy land, removing ALL Chinese business from those 2 countries will bring a big blow to China.

One should not do any business with bullies.

Posted in: Japan inflation rises to 2.5% in May See in context

Doing a simple math, 2.5%*12=30%.

30% yearly inflation. Nice. Basically in 3 years and a couple of months you'll have 100% inflation, meaning that with the same salary, which probably won't get raised any time soon, you will have to pay DOUBLE for everything. Is just simple math. Already the prices are double or more to some products compared to 2020, so...

Posted in: U.S. puts Japan back on currency manipulator watch list after 1 year See in context

If the closely read the source from this "article", it clearly states that USA is basically blaming Japan, with proof, that their own government manipulated the currency to be so weak, in order for the Japanese mamuth corporations to get higher and higher profits by selling their products outside Japan.

Basically they just say that Japan is prioritizing the well being of their companies, in the detriment of its population, who is getting the worst part of the deal.

In even more plain words, Japan is getting richer because of exports and tourism, but it's population is getting poorer and poorer.

This seems to be the plan of LDP in a shell.

Posted in: Japan's food waste in FY2022 caused ¥4 tril in economic losses See in context

Some products (a lot of them), eg: milk, yogurt, processed cheese, salt, can food, etc, all can be very safely consumed after their expiration date pass. The food just don't expire instantly if the date is due.

The simplest possible solution to this would be to offer a 75% or more discount to those products, instead of just throwing them.

I know a lot of people happily purchasing those without any issues.
