Probably this guy bouth them as "surveniers".... if not, if he really had and intent of a terrorist attack that is troublesome... either case very stupid, you should know that having that kind of thing will get you arrested, even if the US size was ok with it (it is deffinatevly not), bringing that stuff to Japan is a big no-no.

Also concerning that someone sold or gave handgranades to a turist...

Become a dictator?

Well.. he said we was going to be a dictator "only the first day" of his 2nd term.... so rather 2016 is more 2024.

Biden age is a concern... but so is Donny, he is just 3 years younger than Biden and way less healthy (Donny has a big ba-Don-kadong).

Donny may be a little more aware of his surroundings but senility advances fast given some cases (look at biden 3 years ago).

But what will happen when (not if) Donny becomes the President of the US?

He seems reluctant to helt NATO members, reason "someone may say" he will let Russia invade them away... covevfe!!

Funny that some commneting here against using abrevations and shortening texts are also very vocal when it comes to other matters (mainly realted to Japan), that takes time to change, stagnates or simply does not whant to change.

Quick example... some Japanese companies and public organiations still useing fax machines.

By the way, did you know that the UN and several diplomatic dependencies also keep using FAX?... there is a perfectly good reason for it, you just need to think it though.

@PokerNCigars

When formulating a question, please mention to whom the question is directed to... I was not aware that you were asking me.

Proof of wrong doings from Trump... well nearly 20 legal procedures from civil to criminal acts... if there is smoke... there is fire.

Taking classified documentations to a private unsecure location without the proper security clearence (and hiding them in the basement and toilet)... Only that is a big issue... but probably you will say

"There is nothing wrong" ...so anything I can present as an awnser you will just dismiss it as "That is the leftist lie", "that is perfectly legal"... "I want a Trump inside me"

The pace of adoption of new technology,

Depends on the area and aplication... for example the adoption of the IC card as a payment method took off pretty quickly.

And about cashless, although late compare to other places, in the last couple of years the adoption has increase rapidly. Just today I saw (don't remember were though) a chart indicating that nearly half of younger poeple (40 years and below) use cashless payment rather than cash for payments.

And people 20 and younger, the majority don't carry cash.

From what little I know... apparently... yes.

When I found out about that, i was shocked to see that the US was a Banana Republic that even perhaps be classified as "sh//thole" country because of that kind of politics

Japan has a LOT of money... but that money is not really circulating. Is in hold or tight to investments or simply sleeping in a bank account of some type of asset.

The government does not posses it... nor the common citizen.... that left the money to be in the hands of business and not all business but only big ones the real big ones (basically the big five plus something in the side probalby)... if you want more money to be able to cover your needs, ask the big business hoarding that money to liberate it (they won't though)... but even if they do it, for you to see the effects of that money circulating will take a couple of years.

@DanteKH

You are confusing micro and macro factors... that you or your company is not able to increase your monetary power does not mean the entire country is the same.

Nevertheless, the situation of a cheaper yen affect directly to what is imports, this includes energy sources (oil and gas mainly) and that mean that prices increase for everything in every step of the production line.

Also, it is a reality that Japan economy is weaker than before and for the moment there is no inmediate solution to fix it, because there are many factors internally (reducion of labor force, aging population, etc.) and external situation (weariness of the entire Asian markets, US and EU policital situation, etc.)

Posted in: Nikkei ends above 40,000 as yen falls to new 37-year low against dollar See in context

Being the 2nd most power economy and the US really being frigthened that Japan may overtake them... Japanese private comapanies buying a lot of US and EU companies and assets (art collections, buildings, etc.), the "everyday" Japanese was able to buy a second house... usign JPY10,000 for a meal per person was nothing.

Not counting all the money given as international aid and investment.

You may need to revise your data.. but 1980s Japan was extreemly wealthy... so much so after the bubble busrted Japan has being able to stay in the top 3 economies for nearly 30 years even though the economic situation never really recovered.

Congratulations for you financial management and dextrecity in making money. But this is a macro matter that affect all living in Japan and even to a global level.

That type of comment is not very polity and unwelcomed.

Next time maybe try to use less words such as "pathetic" and less sarcasm when you are trying to bolster your knowledge and luck in monetary matters.

Japan is not a poor country (at least not yet)... what is happening right now is that Japan was an extreemly wealthy country that has become above average wealthy country (it is still in the top 5 World economies).

Saying that Japan is a poor country is basically slandering and even extremistic... by that you either are in the top 3 or you are nothing (so 192 countries are nothing)

If how the economy and the politics related to that moves from here on will dictate what will happen in the next 40 years, I guess.

Something that should be done also in all other countries (give voting rights to the non natioinal residents)... but at the same time, I do not agree for those non-nationals residents to also participate in the elections of their countries... they don't live in their home land and they are actively participating in the democratic excersice of the country where they reside.

Few years ago (dacade?), it was said that Japan has two police forces one legal and the other illegal... or that Japan had two types of Mafias, the Legaly operating Mafia and the illegally operating Mafia.

Nowadays, where the illegal side has lost a lot of power and presence... i suppose the legal one has to cover more ground.

The reaseon some people don't like Assange is because he facilitated to unveil the cover of something that everyone knew but couldn't (wouldn't??) see... That the US no matter who the top is, spies, control, abusses, threatens and torture all no matter friend of foe. If the US has interest in you, you will are have to subjugete willingly or by force.

On the other hand.. what Assange did (his platform) put in danger many lives, not only of US people but also of their allied countries.

At the end Assange only made people open some eyes of how dangerous is the US.... then Trump came and make a carnival parade of all horrors that the US can do.

@Blacklabel

May be you don't know.... but in this reality (world, dimension, universe) guns are inanimate and do not have consiousness nor are able to move by themselfves... for guns to move and function they need the intervention of someone with conciousness and able to move (yes even if a robot shoots the gun, someone (conscious living been) has to give the order.

So to controling guns equals controling those who are usign the guns... like cars, planes, drones, etc,

Just a annotation but Queen Camila is not at the same level as Empress Masako.... Queen Camila despite the title she is still only a Queen Consort and not a Queen.
