So, the two people you criticize, you know their religion. You don’t know? Oh, but they must be religious because of their viewpoint. You hate religion and you hate their opinion, so the two must go together. Okay, got it.

Japan summers have been hot for a long time. Tokyo was 39.5 in 2004 ( the city record). As I said. The last 10-20 years have been the hottest summers. I think 2018 was Kyoto’s hottest. The older folks say it used to be “much cooler”, but records show you have to go all the way back to near Meiji era to find a really big difference in Japan’s climate. ( You can download these records)

Last year was not the record for Tokyo, but temperatures have been hot most every summer the last 10 or 20 years, or even more. In 1994, it was very hot. Temperatures around the Japan record of 41 degrees have been flirted with many times. This is a record that’s just waiting to fall.

Not being political, but hot weather around this level occurs in Japan every summer. Why do people pretend that it doesn’t?

When is Japan going to say farewell to 30 degrees being the gold standard for a “sweltering summer” temperature. That is now a very warm May Day. Please say goodbye to Meiji era “what my teacher told us” education.

I don’t think you can fault them for not saying more about “origin”. They refer to his name which obviously indicates he is a national. What more do you need to know?

On the issue of migrants, Trump justly brought up the case of the murder and rape of a 12-year-old girl in Texas by two migrants. Perhaps because it was given scant attention by mainstream media.

The woman probably saw another- or others - beginning to cross, so she may have casually started out crossing. She was on the inside left of the crossing. Didn’t notice that the pedestrian to her right had stopped. Bus coming across was not at right angles to her and, even out of the corner of her eye, might not have been visible to her as it came across the intersection. She was perhaps over-confident but it looked ( to me) like the bus should have been a little more careful.

As to the question, when will Palestinians rise up against their Hamas controllers? : Well, you have to ask yourself how many in the population actually support Hamas and its campaign against Israel? Many of us would like to think it’s only a small number, perhaps 10%. But some surveys indicate a different picture - of perhaps 60-70%, or even higher. And many of these sympathize with the Hamas attack of October 7th, which can lead you to conclude they would approve of more “October 7ths”.
Keep this mind when you consider whatever course of action Israel should be taking.

They’re always talking about this. But nothing really changes. Bicycle riding is dangerous to pedestrians as well as dangerous to the riders themselves. One of the dangers to riders is - other riders! Do you see them piled up together at traffic signal stops? ( That’s IF they stop ) As far as riding on the road, we’ll good but that’s also dangerous because roads are too narrow! So, if you’re a rider, you’re always under stress from a car driver coming perilously close to you.
It comes down to the usual problem of Japan. Of having dug itself into dilemmas from which there simply is no escape.

Ask yourself, how many people would Biden get for a rally in a red state? Actually, ask yourself how many would he get in a blue state? Actually, ask yourself how many would he get to get out of their chairs to greet him when he walked in a restaurant? A few, sadly.
