Takuya Kurita / Japan Animation Association (JAA)
After winning the Newcomer’s Grand Prize in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, Kurita then went on to serialize “FURLONG!” in Monthly Shonen Magazine. With 12 years of experience in specialized manga education, his achievements include story-based curriculum and digital curriculum development.
He has also conducted a manga drawing workshop in Latin America at the request of the Japan Foundation, as well as seminars in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico, Jamaica, and the European Manga Institute in Italy.
His expertise covers a wide range of story-based and manga techniques, at this seminar, he will explore character body shapes by comparing designs from famous paintings and animated manga series from the past and present.
