Sometimes the old fashioned remedies are the best. A good thrashing will soon modify this sex predictors behaviour.

Japan needs to revise its retrial system .....

Posted in: Japan's Defense Ministry not told of U.S. troops' alleged sex crimes See in context

These "victims" had every opportunity to report the alleged offence to the police. Seems to me that they now want monetary compensation. I'm sure that Japan's hostage taking legal system will try to oblige.

Posted in: Nippon Steel fight points to industry's uncertain future in Pennsylvania See in context

Most Japanese heavy industries have been built on protection. It is good to see both President Biden and Mr.Trump have indicated a clamp down on this. Japan for many years has abused USA free trade. I think that the USA should have listened more carefully to Senator Gephart in the 1980's with regards to Japan.

Posted in: Emperor, empress bid farewell to British king, queen See in context

The emperor visited Windsor Castle in a London suburb later in the day and laid flowers at the tombs of Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip.

Windsor is not a suburb of the Greater London area. Not a major issue though.

Well done Mr kadokawa. Japan's legal system is a complete mutation of what Japan's constitution intends.

Posted in: King Charles welcomes Japanese emperor, empress on state visit See in context

An emperor outranks a king.

Emperors and Empresses are of a higher rank.

The host outranks the guest.

Posted in: China coast guard says it 'drove away' Japanese boats near disputed islands See in context

It’s only disputed by China. The world knows whose islands these really belong to.

I think that most of the world does not really care.

Posted in: Emperor to reconnect with River Thames during state visit to UK See in context

He should be careful, the amount of raw, untreated sewage dumped in the countries rivers these days is a national disgrace.

Fake News.

That good old decaying sewer drain...

Fake News

Posted in: Oppenheimer reportedly apologized, cried in 1964 meeting with A-bomb victim See in context

Whether Oppenheimer apologised or not was his choice. Japan on the other hand has made little effort over the years to apologise for it's aggression.

Posted in: Japan seeks more visitors despite overtourism problems See in context

I think that Mr.Takahashi is trying to that that Japan wants more tourists money, and tourists, despite being an utter nuisance are a good cash cow. Can't always have your cake and eat it.

Posted in: Emperor recalls time with UK royals ahead of visit See in context

Just a personal opinion. I fail to see the point of this trip.

Right now in the UK, football, and a general election are more important agenda's

Japan does not really want tourists, but wants tourists money.

Is Himeji castle really worth visiting. It's only a replica.

Maybe my native country should consider charging Japanese nationals 3 times the admission fee for it's tourist attractions.

Posted in: Do they think we’ll go back to the high-growth era if we just keep repeating the cycle of Tokyo Olympics, Osaka Expo and Sapporo Olympics? It’s pathetic that their mindset is stuck in the Showa Era (1926-1989). See in context

Japan's glory days are over. They have been over for three and a half decades. This lady is obviously a pragmatic realist of whom can think outside the box. Very rare in Japan

There are no WW1 veterans left as far as I know. They’d be over 120 years old.

Harry Patch was the last WW1 veteran to pass away in 2011 aged 111.

Having observed the behaviour of some Japanese citizens abroad, I don't think that these critics of tourists in Japan are in any position to criticise.

Posted in: Death penalty sought again in retrial of 88-year-old man acquitted of 1966 murders See in context

What astounds me, is that Japanese judges seem so weak and feeble, in that they just kowtow to the prosecutors demands.

Why would you arrest a woman for this and not provide her help and support?

Good question. The woman needs help, not 3 weeks of being "interrogated". What kind of stupid imbecile judge issued an arrest warrant?

Posted in: Japan protests after China, Russia call released Fukushima water 'contaminated' See in context

Anyone who imports and eats Russian or Chinese food is dicing with death with all the chemicals, pesticides and pollution used on the farms of those countries and in the oceans around them.

In fact, it is illegal to import Russian produce into most democratic nations - for good reason.

I have been eating Chinese (and occasionally Russian food) for years, and I'm not dead yet.

Russian imports have been sanctioned in some democratic countries because of the Ukraine situation, rather than quality issues.

Agreed, a good reason in my opinion.

Tourists, whether rich, poor, or budget, do not generally go to places where they feel they are being overcharged for food and accommodation. Overcharging in Japan will do long term damage to Japan's tourist industry. Word does get around.
