It’s been said that one in three adults has trouble sleeping. This problem is made more apparent during the warmer months of the year. Some of the reasons why it’s harder for us to sleep are more daylight (which can mess with our circadian rhythm), increased social gatherings and the heat.
According to research, hotter temperatures can make you lose up to 44 hours or about 11 nights' worth of sleep. With global warming, it’s predicted that this figure can go up to 58 hours.
To get a good night’s rest, ensuring the optimal temperature is one of the most critical factors that can help you sleep uninterrupted. It also pays to have blackout curtains to block out any unwanted glare and to invest in summer bedding to keep cool. If you’re one of those people who insist on using a blanket, then the EeNeE Reversible Tower Blanket is for you. Made using Imabari towel fabric, this lightweight blanket is a must for hot and humid weather. It uses two finer threads than regular towels and is twisted together to create a soft and gentle feel.
Available at the EeNee Rakuten store for ¥11,000

Towel blankets underneath and for cover are good for absorbing sweat. Towel on the pillow if one is used.

In the dead middle of summer, the last thin I need is a blanket.

Or on the 23rd floor of your apartment building you could turn on the ac.
Can’t afford to?
Ok then go plant a tree! (if you can find space in the tarmac)

Blimey, they even managed to fit in global warming in an advert for a blanket. Wonders will never cease.

Quite affordable for anyone working or who worked.
Might be a trifle expensive for those trying to survive in rural countrysides, and not using a/c and only kerosene in winters in the mountains of central Japan.
